'Rose - Birth Flower of June' depicts in watercolour a firm favorite among poets and romantics, the rose. Roses bloom in the height of Summer, displaying vibrant colours with their sweet perfume. Roses symbolise many things across their many colours and forms. Gifting pink rosebuds may symbolise the confession of love or admiration of beauty. Where the red rose has long ben associated with passion, desire and deep love; crimson is associated with mourning. The blush pink and peach rose depicted means love, enthusiasm, desire, happiness, fascination, pride and wonder. They are a symbol of perfection and magic. Folklore says that scattering rose petals around the home will alleviate stress and upset. This art print would make an ideal birthday gift for a Gemini or Cancer whose birthday may fall in June; or for any Summer or flora admirer. This is an A4 sized print of my original painting with a digitally painted blush background.
